MECHANICAL ENGINEER (Toronto)

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior engineers by utilizing engineering principles to assess the feasibility of applying current products at client sites to monitor various aspects of asset health based upon information provided by the client and senior engineering
• As support function, document new products and product line enhancements
• Provide comprehensive written analyses for review
• Determine proper design by performing static engineering calculations, possibly  with the aid of finite element analysis (FEA)
• Develop engineering detail to support quotations, manufacturing processes, and cost analysis for final product implementation.
• Evaluate test performance per company and industry standards.
• Analyze competitive products by evaluating materials, manufacturing processes, product performance, and packaging.
• Contact and, when necessary, visit customers, suppliers, and agencies.
• Other duties as required

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Minimum University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Eligible for Membership in Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng.)
• 1 to 5 years related experience

Skills and Attributes:

• Comprehensive experience in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field
• Very strong mechanical aptitude
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, outside sales groups and team members
• Able to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
• Strong process, organizational, planning and time management skills
• Creative, innovative and an ability to think laterally are a must
• Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines 
• Must be willing and able to travel internationally
